conical booleans | animation snapshots

 In this test I was using the animation sweep function in Maya to generate a series of cones.  These cones were manipulated on either end of the sweep either in scale, rotation, etc.






The resulting geometries were then used to remove material from a stock sheet 4'x8'x1' using the Boolean Difference command.  The resulting forms are below, the most interesting cuts resulted when the cones were exaggerated in length and laid horizontal across the material.
